I don't remember that being mentioned in the brief.

I doubt they've had many people turn up with steel bayonets to need having it in the safety brief then!

Hi James,

That sounds great to me. We are not strict on boots as, one one has a pair of period anklets or leggings on then you can't tell the difference.

nor would I go to any trouble dying any MP40 pouches, the experience is what it as all about - our guides sound strict, but they are mainly there as a guide to what feel we want - and as the 'law' in case someone is extracting the Michael.

Which you are obviously not, so great. :D :good:

However it is very likely that "regen" will be heavily controlled.

Is this likely to be retiring to a predetermined 'aid station' or will medics (medic rules) be in use?

It will be good to give my combat gear an airing :good: as opposed to field jackets and leggings :) I trust late war helmet covers are good to wear?

You mention no divisional patches, are 3rd Army patches acceptable or just keep to nothing

Are you going to be eating, brewing up in the field i.e. army ration cartons/keep modern food packaging to a min. (black bread only for the krauts  )

1. A variation of 'aid station' - basically we will finalise it when we know our numbers.
2. Combat gear is good all round
3. we are keeping it 'no patches' - just plain, unknown Government Issue expendables
4. in the field - though we won't penalise a mars bar if people insist ;)

Is there a slot on the German side for a MG gunner as this would be my first opportunity to try out my MG34 ?

there are no food making 'facilities' and we will be out in the field all day - but you will have an 'HQ' where you can leave heavy, encumbering packs lunches until you need them.

I always carry my encumbering packed lunch with me. I don't trust those rear echelon HQ types :)

Cheers

Yes we can definitely camp the night before and I will be doing so, with my US Small Wall tent.
